32. Gender Inclusive Puberty Education with Melissa Pintor Carnagey, LBSW

Have you noticed some of the terminology used during puberty and other growing up talks is different from what you may be used to? For example, the phrases “most girls” and “most boys” may be heard. Or “people with a vulva” and “people with a penis.” To help explain why these phrases are now being used, the Puberty Prof invited Melissa Pintor Carnagey, LBSW, onto this week’s episode. Founder of Sex Positive Families, Melissa is passionate about ensuring all children are supported in learning about their bodies and that gender “norms” are removed from the conversations. Listen in to hear about how to ensure sex positive talks can occur in your family and classroom!
